My Three Week Extravaganza

It's hard to believe it has already been three weeks since being in San Jose! But, these last three weeks have been quite the party!

WEEK 1 - Utah/Family reunion

I flew into Salt Lake and got to stay with my sister Karrah for a few days. The first couple days we ventured around and sought for good deals at random stores. We went running one morning, because I found out I was going to run a 5K that Saturday...We ran about two miles and that put me under. Karrah is usually my training coach, so she's used to it. The weather was beautiful and we got some nice rain, refreshing and a little hotter than San Jose.

In the middle of my stay, Karrah got very sick. We started to be concerned so we went to Urgent Care at about 1:00 in the afternoon.
I thought she was in pretty good spirits!

Doing the ultrasound where the lady said, oh, you don't have appendicitis.
A couple hours later, they sent us to the emergency room. We headed there and spent a few hours waiting and seeing new doctors and they gave her some good pain meds to help. She did an ultrasound, and the lady said, "Oh, your appendix looks fine, so it's not that!" The lady was supposed to come back and run another test but never did.

Luckily, the real doctors finally came in and gave her a nice push and saw her yelp and knew it was appendicitis. We took her home around 1:00 in the morning after her surgery! Crazy!

Next day, she looks good!
It was a pretty incredible recovery and we headed to Idaho the next day for the reunion!

We ran a 5K in Downey on Saturday. Luckily, Brother ran with me and we made it! Haha barely....These pics are from the reunion and the County Fair. We had a blast at Bear Lake and enjoyed time as family. What a blessing!

Had to take a pic with the car for CarGeek

Band full of kids, but they were really good!

Rodeo!

Oma and Betty Jane folding up a quilt.

Me and my crazy sibs.

the whole clan!

We like horses!

Sorry! tournament, I was the champion :)

My grandma rocks!

Day at the park. Awesome shirts made by Brother and Dori

she can't play, but she can cover her hair from the rain so it doesn't get messed up :) I love her

An exhilarating slide, can't ya tell?!

Race, race, race!

Cutie patooties swinging.

WEEK 2 - Texas!!!!

I loved being in Texas. I got to replace a dishwasher, play games with Dori and Brother. Betty Jane loves hide and seek right now, so we played a lot of that. :) I also got a few treatments of acupuncture to see if it would help with headaches. Check out the pictures to learn about my treatments.

Adorable.

Sometimes Dori fell asleep when Betty did.

The only man right now who has my heart.

Silly lady.
New game called bury betty in clothes and ask where she went!
He was concerned for me to have treatments...
I don't know if you can see it that well, but there is a tiny pin in my ear...it looks more red right there. I had to keep these in my ears throughout the time I was in Texas.
The last day of treatment to focus on headaches.

Brother is good at this stuff.

Yeah, I helped rip out a dishwasher.

I did this test at the beginning and I was out of alignment on 10 of the 12 measurements. And, by the end, I was only out of balance on 2! :)
Just another pic of the machine.
We raced fuzz balls by blowing it across the floor with a straw, so fun!

Betty, Me, and my new best friend who asked me for my phone number and my house number :)

I got to do baptisms in the Houston temple, this is the 14th temple I have been inside! :) What a treat!

Another Plane ride to AZ.

WEEK 3 - Arizona, Home Sweet Home

This is what happens when you are the only kid spending a Friday evening with the parents. :)

What a treat, snowcones! I haven't had one in years!
I learned how to knit and finished half of a washcloth! ...it is hard work!

I went to the family doc and she messed with my ear...and it bled for a couple days...

I just thought this was beautiful...it is what it looked like when I left.

So pretty.

Yes, we played Candy Land, 3 adults. I won.

The most shocking news about going home. I have 20/20 vision and will be wearing glasses the rest of my life. Can't you tell i'm excited!

I got my hair cut by my favorite beautician!

Italian sodas and ice cream. That's what I call a last night in AZ party at Liz's!

Flight...last one for a while.

As soon as I got back to Utah, I went to an ENT. He pulled this out of my ear. Gross!

I figure pictures can speak a thousand words, so I don't have much to say. This sums up my three weeks of partying. I loved it!

School posts will soon be coming...a little behind...

Peace out.
