Once upon a time I graduated from College.

Yes, I haven’t written in ages and I feel very sad about it. I kept such a good record last summer, I need to keep it up. I have half written posts everywhere that I may end up posting…but, they don’t have any pictures and that’s what makes up half of the fun. I may try to finish those someday. But, for now you get the most recent updates.

I've been working at SwiCoke since January and it has been a lot of fun. I really have enjoyed it, and I love it a lot more than I loved school. I have never been much of a school lover, I love learning but the school environment stresses me out! Luckily, I had done internships and knew what to expect of full time work. The only thing I don’t have more of that I thought I would have is time. Papa told me the other day that there are two things in this world that if you don’t keep a close watch on them, you will lose them…time and money. How true that is, and even more true now that I should have more of both.

DATES.
The past month has made up for the dates missed all semester. I actually went on two dates in one week. I know, crazy! The first date was with Mr. Tandem. We drove up to the top of Provo Canyon trail and rode down on a tandem bicycle. I was really concerned at first, Karrah and I tried to ride a tandem bicycle a couple years ago and it was a bit a disaster. I also didn’t think it was a very good date idea because you wouldn’t be able to have a conversation. I was wrong on both accounts. We were so close together and out of the noise of the city it was easy to converse as we rode along. After a few minutes of screaming and laughing at the beginning, we mastered the skill of riding. Mr. Tandem drove, I was the back seat rider…which is totally the place to be. We rode all 8.5 miles back to my apartment without stopping a single time. Stopping and going would have been very difficult…I was impressed with our skill to catch all the lights perfectly. We had a small bell and when we rang it people would scatter from the path just like the movies. Funny...although, sorry, no pictures.

Second blind date, was with Mr. Jumper. We went country swing dancing. We had a lesson for the first half hour I was there and then we danced after that. Mr. Jumper had only gone one time before and he had enough confidence to bring a lady the second time. He was embarrassed by his dancing ability that he insisted I dance with someone else to truly get a feel for what it felt like to dance with someone who knew what they were doing. I laughed, and didn't really agree with that...but, before I could object, he went and found the only Indian in the room and someone shorter than me to  be my dance partner. This kind fellow didn't know many more moves than Mr. Jumper. We then went to get Italian ice. It was so good! I had never had it before, but boy it was yummy. We got there about 10:30 and ate our ice in the car...which was his roommates car. As we went to start up the car to drive away at about 10:45, the car was dead. He had left the lights on as we sat there...So, he tries to call the one person he knows with jumper cables. No luck. Of course, the  kid is probably sleeping. He then called his roommate, who's car it was, and he said he would call AAA. Well, I didn't know how long that would take and Mr. Jumper had assignments due at midnight...and, come to find out, his roommate fell back asleep! How could you wake up, hear your car died in the middle of a parking lot, and fall back asleep? That's a skill. I am thinking and I realize Derbie probably has jumper cables and she would be totally willing to come and help us out. I called her and within five minutes she was to our rescue. Luckily for us, I had called her right before she took a sleeping pill...He was impressed and probably a little embarrassed that the first person I called came to the rescue. I haven't heard from him since.

Third date, with Uncle Wiggly. We went up to Hobble Creek Canyon, borrowed some wiggle cars, and rode down the mountain on them. :) It was super fun! And terrifying. I was concerned one of my legs would pop out a little farther than the other while going down a hill and that would really send you spinning...luckily, we only had one fatality. The other guy was crossing the bridge after Mr. Wiggly and I, thought it would be easy and the back wheels of his wiggle car stopped but he kept going. We turned around to see this confused look on his face and the wheels sitting about 10 feet behind him. I could not stop laughing. Luckily, we were almost back to the truck so he didn't have to walk for. Needless to say, we had to order some new wheels and fix it.

GRADUATION.
I graduated from college and it was awesome to walk across that stage! These are the few pics that I actually have...the rest Oma has and I am trying to get them from her.
Commencement

Convocation

We got caught in the rain...soaked. This is after I wrung out my tassle.

Me and Sisterbug!
It was so fun to have family there and celebrate being done with college by taking off work to spend a few hours with those I love.

HOMELESS to NEW PLACE.
While I was homeless I stayed with Auntie G and Uncle D. I always love staying with them. They are so fun. Auntie G even got up early and made me breakfast most of the days, impressive...that's early.

Speedy came to dinner with me, Auntie G, and Uncle D. I am not sure if that counts as a date, Uncle D paid for us. It was fun and I don't think Speedy cared too much. We pulled up to pick Speedy up and Uncle D hollers out the window saying, "You must be Fred!...Oh, wait, that's the first guy. Never mind." Luckily, Speedy is a good sport and just thought it was funny.

A week ago I moved into my new place. I am roommate with Belly Dancer, Teacher, and Classy. I knew Classy before hand from when we were on the same team for business core. We helped each other survive and pass those classes. It will be fun living with her. Moving is not my favorite thing, but packing is even less of a favorite, so I am still working on doing that. The ward is new and it's exciting to meet new people. Our Bishopric seems like a lot of fun and they are super nice. I walked into church and they knew my name and claimed I didn't look like my picture because I have glasses...which is a true statement, and the picture on there is from a couple years ago.

I decided that moving into a ward and playing sports with them makes people a little wary of me. I really try to play to the level of the people I am with, but sometimes when you get that perfect set you just have to hit it hard. Once you do that, you’re toast. They all are afraid and think you are intense. I experienced this again on Monday night playing volleyball with the new ward. But, I think they still enjoy playing with me so they will still invite me.

I CAN BE DOMESTIC.

I made homemade jam because there was room in our freezer, and it actually turned out well! I was super nervous about it, but I think I did okay. Here are a few pictures from the process. It took a while to crush all the berries. It was a little scary not doing it with Mom or Grandma right by.

Leftover crushed berries on waffles...yum!

Lasagna...it actually looks pretty gross in this pic...but it was delicious.
BEING ACTIVE DESPITE THE RAIN

I am playing kickball and frisbee, so I am sure more stories will come. This past weekend I went and played lasertag, and it was super fun. We played three games...and, I had the best accuracy, but was the lowest ranked with points from hits. I got killed a lot too. I enjoyed it and definitely got my workout! We also went one night and played unlimited...we probably played 14 games, took us three hours. What fun!

I also went and played volleyball with Tommy and Cousin. I always have to clarify that Cousin is my cousin. We are pretty friendly with each other so I try to make family jokes so people can figure out we are related and not dating. He was the star of the game and it was so fun to have him there playing with me. They called us the dynamic duo.

This is what I look like most nights after playing, drenched to the bone.
WORK

Here is a picture of the job applications I created. It went live on our website and I was so excited! We have had a few bumps, but really I think mostly everything is smoothed out. What a blessing! It needs to work for about a year and then we will be changing everything to a way better system.

Also, just moved to a new office with the MBA interns...I have a lamp and a fancy Sprite bottle so it looks like I actually work there and I'll be staying for a while. :)
I am loving life, it is so much fun. I try to document what I can in pictures so I can remember but I sure miss a lot. Don't worry, more fun posts to come.

Peace out.

I have a big girl's job now.

Yep, I am a grown up, kinda. I still feel like a student because I live with and associate with students all the time. It is now just harder to join the conversations, I can relate to them quite well but not really the other way around. Honestly, I think they hear I am graduated and add 3 years to whatever age they think I am...probably at least 25...it's interesting. I've also been referred to as the mother of an 11 year old, which is physically impossible. Luckily, most days I don't feel old and actually feel like quite the spring chicken at work. Here's what I have been up to since starting my big girl job.

COACH KITT
Yep, that's my new name to nine little 11 year old girls. I am a Junior Jazz basketball coach and it is fun! At times frustrating, but when I see improvement, it makes it all worth it. They really like ball handling drills because it challenges them in a unique way and they think it's pretty funny when I can do it and they can't. Of course, scrimmaging is their favorite so we always wrap up practice with a good game. This past week we played 21 at practice and our shooting in the game was much better. We may be doing that every practice from here to the end. We only have three games left, which is actually really sad.

In our game yesterday, one of my girls got clawed. She had a scratch down her face and on her hand. Her hand was bleeding pretty bad, but she didn't say anything or ask for a sub. She came out at the quarter and was holding her had to make it stop bleeding. I asked her what happened...I saw the blood, luckily remained calm, sent her off to the bathroom. Told the girls who was going in and ran after her. She got it cleaned up the best an 11 year old can without paper towels, I slapped a bandaid on there and she went back into the game. I was grateful she was so tough and didn't let out any tears.

The free coaches picture.
I had a coupon for ebay, so I bought this and loved having it!

At the end of the season, the parents were so sweet and the girls. It was fun to put on medals and I am so glad I did it. One parent even asked if I would be back next year because she wanted to put her daughter on my team, if I am here another year, I would love to do it.

INTRAMURALS
Yep, I am still going at it strong. I am playing wallyball and innertube waterpolo. I love both of them so much! I am the captain of the wallyball team, I missed the first two games because of basketball practice. Pretty funny to be the absentee captain. I did get to play last week and we won! We also have a good waterpolo team. They are catching on quick and love to play. It's fun to have people excited about it. Our last game was pretty close and we snuck by with the win. It was so close that one kid on our team honestly thought we had lost.

ULTIMATE FUN CHALLENGE (UFC) NIGHT
I am still in charge of planning all the ward parties, so me and co-chair came up with this crazy idea for the first one. We forced people to meet new people and had a blast watching people do these challenges. We had teams build towers with marshmallows and spaghetti, build paper air planes, play never have I ever as a group, food relay race, and tied it all up with jeopardy. Our committee members each took a significant role in helping us pull things off. We had 60 people there, which we counted as a great success! Things got a little crazy, but only one person got cut and that was because he hit his hand on the wall accidentally.

COUGARVILLE SPORTS
I have been fortunate enough to get to go to one men's basketball game and one men's volleyball game. Both super fun and quite enjoyable! Went with Speedy to both of them and had fun explaining some rules at volleyball and then having someone be equally frustrated during basketball. I enjoy going to the games knowing I am not missing doing homework.

Last home game watching Uncle Tyler.

PARTYING IN PG
I am grateful I have been able to go out to Michelleigh's every week since being home. I go out there to coach, and usually stay for dinner. It has been so fun! This past week I helped get the kiddos off to bed and then counted 100 fruitloops into 26 baggies. It was the 100th day of school and Michelley had to prep one of the stations for Matthew's class. I am sure I only got a couple bags exactly at 100, but who knows if the kiddos would even be able to count that high correctly. Thankfully we had extras to send.

I also got to stay for an awesome birthday party for Matthew after one our basketball games. He turned six. Auntie K and Uncle J came down and the Soderberg family was also there. It was fun to see the joy of a little boy on his birthday! Makes me excited to celebrate my future children's birthdays.

COOKING
Yeah, I have actually been cooking. Weird, right? Here are some pics. Mostly everything has turned out. I should have added more flour to the cookies...but, I was too late and they still taste delicious!

This was Auntie G's idea, mix a half batch of German Pancakes in my bottle, genius!
Here's the cookies.

BIG GIRL JOB
I guess I should write a little about what I do when I am no playing. I do a lot of playing, but I also work about 43 hours a week, plus at least 5 hours of commuting. Probably about a 50 hour work week by counting time away from home. We have a lot of fun.

My desk, notice the hot packs and blanket. I get cold.

The pretty morning sky.

Cheesy fondue for a birthday party.

I got this squishy pad when I asked for a keyboard tray...oops.

My daily inspiration.
Sometimes I wonder if I still work at eBay...
I really like my job and feel so blessed to have it and have one that I enjoy! Hopefully they'll actually give me benefits sometime soon.

And, I finally finished my first bottle of Big and Sexy hairspray. This is a big deal because I got it when I graduated high school. I only used it for special occasions until recently.

I am converted.

I TURNED 23 AND RENTED A CAR
I got to celebrate for a whole week, it was awesome. I was in Arizona before for Clara Sue's wedding, so I actually got to celebrate at home. I had a party with friends on my birthday, Joe and Ian came to celebrate because it is also Joe's birthday. We had some good laughs that night. Then, went to Idaho to celebrate with Karrah, Sisterbug, Brolaw, and Grandpa. It was so much fun, the last party was awesome and tons of yummy food. :)

Stuffed crust pizza, to die for...so good!

My cute sign Sisterbug made me.

One of the pairs of sandals that Oma and Papa gave me.
Here is my rental car, I got to use it when I flew out to California for an interview. I felt pretty cool, although it was a little nerve wracking driving a car in a big city that wasn’t mine.

Chevy Cruze
Sorry my blogs are out of date and not in order and scatterbrained, I am just trying to get them out there so I can start fresh.

Peace out.

Christmas Break!

Not having school to loom over your head during Christmas Break is amazing! I am going to hit the highlights of my Christmas break with the family:

SHOOTING

FAMILIES ARE FOREVER

This little punk wouldn't stand still for the picture of her pretty hair...

One of the crazy nights with Betty

I tried to learn how to knit...it was really hard, Mom told me later that I was doing it way too tight.

Dad liked this tablet...apparently the largest one right now.

I was the wiggle car champion, went around the island three times in a minute or something.
Christmas was awesome, even though I am posting almost 5 months late...I loved it and enjoyed my time at home.

Also, here are the pics from all the temples I went to while I was home! What beautiful places. :) Oma told me to clean out my closet and I found a lot of treasures...mostly ones that weren't mine.

Karrah used to draw a lot, these are some of her pics that I found in my closet.

I believe it is Grandma...

The cute pics of hereself

Sislaw's shirt from years ago

Napoleon Dynamite...classic.

This bag literally crumbled at the touch.

Mesa

Gilbert

We're hiking through the snow!

Papa and Papa Ross measuring a cabin that I seriously thought I was going to die when i walked in. So dirty and old and stinky...and they wanted a pretty penny for it!

Chocolate cake with Chocolate oil made in AZ.

One day I got locked out of our house in the rain...it was cold and no one was home.

Me and Papa

Oma and me.

Phoenix temple

Came home in January to a Valentine's Day wall...a little overwhelming...haha
I loved having a break and was sad to head back to real life. I had fun tho!
