Week full of interviews, school, assignments, tests, chatting, loving life....awesoemness as always. I did play basketball for a couple hours last Saturday. I was so sore and tired after that! Oh, I was exhausted and kind of disgusted with myself that I was so tired. I used to do two hours of basketball day after day. I must be gettin old. I will be turning 21 in less than a month. Yep, must be old. ;) Just kiddin. So, I do have a couple funny stories...
So, after this intense workout of mine, I went to the neighbors for a crepe party. I showed up and didn't really expect to see many people I knew. Homey was there and Bernard. Then, on the couch was a TA from Econ 110. What??? Haha, I recognized him immediately, but it is that awkward I don't know if he recognizes me. That was a long time ago....almost a year. So, I just kind of don't acknowledge him. After a while, he is sitting by me and he turns and asks, "Are you in any of my classes?" Haha I laughed and said, I know you from Econ 110. I took it last winter semester. He laughed and we made the connection and then it was small econ talk and then we actually introduced ourselves. Haha yay for knowing people. I am glad he did remember me.
Another....I had to buy a 'coke' for a stranger and give it to them. It didn't really have to be a coke, so I bought a Powerade for a stranger. I didn't know who to give it to, so I just carried it around with me everywhere for most of today. Still not giving it to anyone. Finally, I was with Bernard and Homey and we had just finished playing wallyball. They said, oh give it to that guy. So, I chased after him and ran as fast as I could and hollered, "Do you want a Powerade?" He turned and said flat out no. I was very disappointed. I said, please, you have been working out and you need to restore energy to your body. He said, no thanks. I said, are you sure, there is nothing wrong with it. He said, no give it to someone else. I couldn't believe it. Who would turn down a Powerade. So, I had to try again. Once again, this girl was walking out of the women's locker room and I could tell she had just gone swimming and so I chased after her and asked, "Do you want a Powerade?" She looked super surprised and kind of pleased but said, "Why, don't you want it?" I pulled the same, no there is nothing wrong with it, I just want to treat you to a Powerade. You just worked out and it will restore your electrolytes and stuff." She looked so happy and said thank you. It was quite an adventure. I have never been so happy to be-rid of a Powerade. I even got her my favorite kind, so it was a sacrifice. Great day.
Now, I am off to the G-parents. This is a spontaneous trip, and I am going with S-dog. We are delivering a computer to them and we will be training them on how to use it. Hahaha, it'll be an adventure.
Peace out.

Do you want my parking spot?
My goodness gracious, it is March already. I can't believe it! I will tell one story that is maybe funny, but here are some pictures of my recent life adventures....being in a musical. We did 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, it was awesome and so much fun! Homey is my partner, so you'll see him in these pics. Some are from practices and some from the live performance. Make sure to watch the video too :)
starting the polka
i look like i am sneezing, but this is called a cake lift....pretty cool aye?
the whole group
moral support
the two of us basically goofed around whenever we could.
It was quite the ordeal. And to quote Leese, we were the best in the whole show. I wish you could hear the lyrics on the video. They are quite funny.
Story #1: This past Tuesday night, I played in an entire basketball game without a sub and then I went and played waterpolo and then my visiting teachers came over and then I went to bed. But, my body was exhausted, so I was sure that I wouldn't be able to run the mile to volleyball and still be able to play. I decided to drive to class. I parked in a mass parking lot, and when I came back to the lot, a girl pulled up by me and asked would you like a ride to your car? I thought to myself, oh she wants my spot, sure! Haha how funny. Only once I was in the car did I realize I had just gotten in a vehicle with a stranger....but, she was super nice and I could tell she would be of no threat. Thankfully I go to BYU. So, she asked where I parked and I thought I told her the right row, but in a car you go a lot farther quicker than you do by foot. So, we went a couple isles too far and we probably drove around the lot for 10 minutes where as if I had been on foot I could have found it a lot quicker. Haha, she probably thought I was crazy. I seriously couldn't remember the type of car I had and I couldn't remember where I parked. It was embarrassing, but I did eventually find it and I drove away and she got my spot. Moral of the story: remember where you park and don't get in the car with strangers. Oops. :)
Hope this brings you some joys and laughs.
Peace out.

what i do with my long weekends
These past two weeks have been insane! Every day I am late on campus, and I have stuff planned for every break I have. Fortunately, I have been able to get it all done. So this past weekend I went up to Virginia, Idaho to Grandma and Grandpa's. It was a blast! Most of my funny stories for the week come from that. So, I will begin with a little picture:
Aren't we cute? Me and G-ma.
Story 1: On Sunday, G-ma and G-pa asked me to join the choir. So, I also joined them for practice afterwards. Kaymster joined me for practice too. Before we started, AuntieK brought out a big bag of assorted Hershey chocolates. Kaymster loaded her pockets, so I just played innocent and taught her that sharing is great by asking her for a bar whenever I wanted one. :) She did very well and shared. Then, Kaymster had to go the bathroom so I took her and showed her where it was. On our way back, she went on one side of the stage where the candy was. She grabbed a bar for her and she comes and sits down. I lean over and asked if she got me one. She happily finished hers and then went back to the bag to grab some more, this time for the both of us. AuntieK, who runs the choir practice, tells Kaymster that she needs to wait until the end. Of course, Kaymster plays innocent and says, "Oh, I was just getting some for her." Haha oops.....I didn't really ask her to get more for me, rather I just wanted to know if she had gotten some for me the first time...I probably turned red. Who wants a little kid blaming them. Not I.
Story 2: Monday night, I got home from G-parents and I was unpacking. I found an empty plastic bottle that I needed to throw away. I went into the living room and threw it across the kitchen to get it into the trashcan. It hit the wall, and bounced almost the whole way back to me. I said shoot picked it up and shot it again and I again missed. I finally just walked over and dropped it in. About 30 minutes later, I went over to our neighbors for a surprise bday party for another person in the ward. We were talking and Neighborgirl said that she came by a half hour ago and was about to knock on the door and then she heard something drop and someone say shoot. So she waited, and was about to knock again when she heard the sound again. She was a little concerned about what was happening and figured it wasn't a good time, so she just left. Hahah, just goes to show you better be careful with how loud you say things and remember that sound effects can be bad. I laughed so hard when she told me that. I hope that you can laugh at it too.
Well, 2 stories are really what I have time for, but I hope you enjoy them. In addition, check out this link and you can see a video of G-ma and me tubing. Yep, my grandparents are 83 and 84 and they went snow tubing with us. They are the bomb.com. :)

I am no longer a kid.
Another week has flown by! Southwest Airlines told me no and so did Goldman. So, I am back to internship hunting, or I guess continuing. I have an interview with The Church offices next Thursday for an HR internship, so we will see how that goes. I think it would be awesome to work for them! I don't really remember the position I applied for though....that's a problem. ...I have been running around constantly this week. Long days on campus, long tests, long projects...but, I have survived and I am going to celebrate at Grandma's this weekend :) assuming they allow me to come visit. I still need to call. But here is a great picture of us together.
They thought that me taking a picture with my phone was pretty cool :)
#1 - I failed my business law exam.
#2 - I went babysitting last Friday night. It was quite entertaining. Tato and Lexa were super funny. Most of the time I was worried Tato would shove something in his little two year old mouth and go into some allergic reaction and I'd have to use an epipen...or whatever that scary thing is. I was a little anal probably, but oh well. He didn't die and I didn't have to give him a shot or take him to the hospital so we both won. Lexa and I were doing tricks down the slide in her house. It was an awesome slide, the typical 2 bump slide ya know. I get to the top and she says to me, "Do something like a cowgirl." So, of course I do something awesome because that is what she wanted. I stuck my legs over one side and said that ladies always ride side saddle and then i pushed off and said YEEHAW!!!!! I zoomed very quickly to the bottom and woosh i flew into the air off the slide and boom!!!! I landed right on a thick, hard, plastic ball. Some random toy had randomly rolled right to where I randomly landed. I thought I should have crushed it, but my leg went completely dead and it HURT!!!! Holy macaroni! I laid on the ground and just said, don't try that one Lexa....I stayed there for only a couple of seconds and I moved. Ohhhh, the pain continued, I made it over to the stairs and Tato begs me to ride down with him because he is too big of a chicken. I made it over there, and went down again. But, my leg/hip hurt for the rest of the evening. Hhahaha, I am not a kid anymore. That is what I realized. I got home and I was still in pain. On about Sunday, the bruise showed up. It is probably the size of a chocolate glazed long rectangle doughnut. Yep, haha it was big and dark. I just laugh about the story, and I am so thankful I didn't injure myself worse, and I am glad the ball didn't break.
I have another good story about a game that I played at game night, but maybe you should just look up the game. It is "Reach for the Stars." It is pretty dang old, so I don't know if you'll be able to find it. But, let's just say a kid I just met had to say to me, "I love you. Just because you are you." I was dying laughing. I almost couldn't look at him seriously and vice versa. Haha, it was great. Maybe I'll write the full version next week. We'll see.
I hope I brought you some laughter. That is what this blog is meant to do.
Peace out.

Public Transportation Adventures
Man, I am
struggling to find some funny story to entertain you with. This week has just
been crazy not too loaded on the funny side. Maybe a little bit unbelievable
too. I had a waterpolo game and a basketball game this week. I think I am
getting old. I only played half the game and yet, I was so exhausted from it.
The next day I was still tired. I never thought at the age of 20 I would feel
so old. Haha, but I am being an adult today. I am sitting and waiting for my
second interview of the week. This is one high class building and my interview
is on the 14th floor! That’s incredible to me. I just applied online
for this job. The people that came to Cougar College told me I was too young to
be eligible for a summer internship, but I submitted my application online and
lo and behold I got an interview just through my online application. So I
guess, this leads to story numbero uno.
I have never ridden
public transportation before. I looked up the weather for today, and it is
supposed to snow…so I decided not to drive. BUT, I didn’t know how in the world
I was going to get to downtown Salt Lake. Fortunately for me, the UTA recently
put in a magical train called the FrontRunner. I called up my all-knowing
cousin Woody and asked him how I could get to this certain address. He
researched and called me back and gave me excellent directions for how to get
here. I was planning to walk the mile from the station, but it turns out, there
was another train I could board and get almost exactly where I needed to be.
Sislaw was texting me and she was telling me how creepy public transportation
usually is and I really didn’t see anything sketchy on the FrontRunner so I was
thinking people just over react. I made it to Salt Lake and boarded the other train
that people can ride for free around Downtown Salt Lake. As I was sitting
there, more and more people were boarding and this is when I started to get a
little creeped out. For a long time I was the only girl on the train and a few
creepy men. I started getting antsy and I wasn’t sure if I was even on the
right train. I have just been a nervous wreck since last night so this was just
building up. I told myself to remain calm and trust the kind old man who told
me that this was the train I was supposed to be on. So, eventually we took off
and exit after exit I just worried a little bit more…but, I remember what Woody
told me and he was right, the train stopped right where I needed to get off to
go to the fancy building. I made it and I made it safely, and the security
guard here is so kind and he is letting me chill down here in the lobby until
my interview begins. I think this fancy building has the nicest, friendliest
security guards I have ever met. I have a really good seat for people watching
too. But, I need to do some studying so that concludes my story.
Oh, a follow
up from last weeks’ story about Run. The date didn’t happen…he went grocery
shopping. It sounds a lot worse than it is, but it did make me pretty mad.
Don’t worry though, Monday after volleyball class I gave him a piece of my
mind. We talked for about 30 minutes…basically until I told him everything I
thought and by the end he felt like the biggest jerk that walks on the planet.
I am glad that he feels bad about what happened and I think we cleared
everything up so we are just fine now. Things are pretty normal, at least I
think so. We shall see if he ever asks me out again. I told him I didn’t want a
pity date. I only want one if he is actually interested. Hmmm, we’ll see. At
least he knows where I stand.
Well, that’s
it.
Peace out.

p.s. I think
the interview went well, and I am back to me home safe and sound :)

It's been real.
This week has been CRAZY! I was on campus late every night it felt like. And I did a lot of physical activities. First, I began with volleyball at 8AM on Monday. We did attacking! Yes! Exactly what I wanted to work on. So, we hit all through the class. I was pretty sore after that. I think part of it may have been from a massage that I got on Sunday. Haha yep, I came home from ward prayer and Blew and Steal were here giving Hawaii a massage. She hurt her body while rollerskating and then we delivered get well cards all Sunday afternoon so she was exhausted and in pain. Blew asked if I wanted to give him a massage and then switch. That sounded really nice, so I couldn't pass it up. We switched off and on for about an hour. I think he really irritated a deep knot between my shoulder blades...haha so that was not a good way to start hitting practice, already sore. It made me very tired, but I was excited to be hitting. ....Tuesday night rolls around and we have a waterpolo game!!! Woowoo! We got demolished, killed, smothered...however you want to put it. I felt like it was a lot harder to control my tube and I was exhausted afterwards. I went to bed as soon as I could and then back to volleyball at 8AM the next morning. It was snowy and icey and I ran the mile to class anyways. We did more attacking and worked on transitions and blocking. Oh boy! I was soooooo tired. By the end my swing blocks were not having jumps included. Not smart. I dressed professional and went to the career fair to talk to companies I want to work for. Then, that night right after my MCOM class, I had a basketball game. We only had 6 people and as I stood there beforehand I looked at my teammates and said, I hope I have energy for this. She looked at me really odd like, but I truly was tired. Last night I went and played broomball on ice at 7Peaks. It was super fun, but it made me all tired again. So physical exhaustion came from: walking through snow and ice everyday, basketball, volleyball, and broomball. Probably a little insane, but I had a ton of fun and I got most of my school work done.
Oh well, this week has a lot of funny things that happened. Most of them might have just been funny because I was there but I will share a couple and you can tell me if they are funny of if they are just lame. Feel free to be honest, I want to be entertaining. (And hopefully the first part was funny too.)
This first one happened about a week ago. I had excellent plans to make delicious pancakes for myself for dinner. I mixed it all up, and then after I had cooked almost all the batter I realized that I had forgotten the eggs! They were very tasty, haha and I am so glad they actually turned out. It was old mix, so maybe that helped some.
Another: Doubles and I finally got to talk on the phone for the first time since she has been married. I told her the story of Run last semester, so I had to update her. Basically, my date is tonight and he scheduled it on Monday and I still have no idea what I am doing for it. I don't really know how to find that out. I wish you could just be completely upfront and bold about things. You could just say to people, hey...and explain yourself and they'd do the same and then everyone would be happy because they are on the same page. It doesn't work that way....it's all a game. Doubles asked me how do I always get in the most awkward situations, and honestly I have no stinkin' idea. I am just that fortunate to have awkward and funny stories every week of my life. It gives me something to laugh about, so I am grateful.
I tried to find a picture, but I don't have any about anything that I wrote. So, use your imagination.
Peace out.
